Content in Orchard, commerce in WebStore

The module lets an Orchard site use WebStore commerce features while the store configuration stays in the WebStore environment.

Split of concerns

Two systems, one experience

Orchard owns pages, editorial content and the content management workflow. WebStore owns catalogs, products, prices, baskets and orders. The module connects the two so a shopper moves between content and commerce without noticing the boundary.

Widgets are managed in the Orchard admin panel. The commerce configuration remains in the WebStore environment, which keeps a single source of truth for the catalog and pricing.

Why split it

Content teams get the publishing tool they know. Commerce operators keep the catalog model they know. Neither system has to become the other.

Typical shape

What the integration adds

Commerce widgets
