Sales promotions - Discount granted
In the first version of the Magelia WebStore software, sales promotions that are able to be granted correspond to the most common types: discounts by percentage or by product, order or shipping rate value(s). The possibility of a Gift with Purchase will soon be available.
How to set up a discount granted:
DO Choose the discount type (the amount or percentage off).
DO Choose if the discount applies to the order amount, to the product price, or to the shipping fee amount.
Enter the discount amount and the relative currency. You can define the discount amount in the different currencies found on your website.
You can also define different discounts in terms of specific conditions.
You can also define several discounts at once.
How to? Manage the application of multiple discounts at once:
With Magelia WebStore, you can define several discounts simultaneously. This feature enables the combination of several sales promotion types at one time.
For example, you can offer free shipping and a discount on the order amount in the same sales promotion.
To do this, select the “grant another additional discount” box. A second entry field will appear, allowing the input of another sales promotion.
How to? Manage the application of different discounts in terms of conditions:
Magelia WebStore allows you to define different discounts in terms of specific conditions. This is very useful for managing gradual discounts, for example.
Let’s suppose that you would like to create a discount for the summer catalog, and that you would like to include a 10% discount amount for all orders between '$300' and '$500' and a 15% discount amount for all orders over '$500'.
To do this :
- Create a discount that has the summer catalog condition.
- Define a discount of 10% and then check the box that says “check if this offer is subject to additional prerequisites not already defined.” The conditions will appear in the drop-down menu. Select “Order Amount” and indicate that the order amount must be between '$300' and '$499.99'.
- Check the box that says “grant another additional discount” to add a sales promotion.
- Finally, define the 15% discount and check the box that says “check if this offer is subject to additional prerequisites not already defined.” The conditions will appear in the drop-down menu. Select “Order Amount” and indicate that the order amount must be more than '$500'.
You have now defined a discount whose rate depends on the order amount.
